4. CHRISTMAS CD AND SHOW

1. YULUNGA ARTS (www.YulungaArts.com)
Jackie has been added to the roster of the artist booking agency, Yulunga Arts.  Based from Tucson AZ, it is headed by Mike Wolke, who boasts over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry, booking, managing and promoting artists from around the world, including Lakota flutist, Kevin Locke, Karla Bonoff, Catie Curtis and many more.  Yulunga means "Spirit Dance" and we think this describes the essence of Jackie's music.  Look for many more festival and concert bookings coming in 2006.

2. LEHIGH VALLEY MUSIC AWARDS
Jackie has been nominated for FIVE Lehigh Valley Music Awards this year. The LVMA are an annual end-of-year event, held near Bethlehem PA and are focused on musicians in the greater Allentown-Bethehem-Easton areas. Her nominations include: Best Songwriter, Best Female Vocalist, Best Album Production, Best Lyricist, Best All-Around Performer.

3. BENEFITS
The FAT ROOTS Acoustic Music Benefit for Katrina survivors at the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia raised over $4,000.00 for musicians and their families in New Orleans and surrounding communities. Thanks to the many volunteers and organizations who assisted in pulling this off, including WXPN (88.5FM) and host, David Dye. Honored guests included Mr. Robert Corwin, documentor de musiciens folkloriques, on-hand to lend his lucid lens to the event.

Jackie has been included on the tenth annual Lehigh Valley Christmas CD, produced and released by Bummer Tent Records. She teamed with former Sheryl Crow guitarist, Todd Wolfe, for this special recording.  Billy Hall shares the vocals and vocal arrangement, and John Cree and Mike Dugan Blues Band bassist, Rob Fraser, grounded the rhythm section for this rocked-up version of Children, Go Where I Send Thee.  A concert to release the album, which includes 16 other cuts from Lehigh Valley music luminaries, will happen in December 11. To order your CD, go to the Bummer Tent Records website. Word has it PA Governor Ed Rendell (Democrat!) will be making an appearance at this show!

For Holiday gift-giving, visit jackietice.com for copies of her albums, Second Skin, Blue Coyote or Let In The Joy.

Blessings and Peace to You this season! Thank you all for your continued support and faith in this music to change the world, one heart at a time.

My personal thanks to the following people, who have made this past year so very important for me: Billy Hall, Steven Tobin, Bill Miller, Mike Wolke, Deanna Gorbet and Bill McCloud, Deborah Miller, Sue Simmons-Stahl, JaNell Knolles.

2. Storms—a Muse from Jackie
This hurricane season is a riveting one, giving us an opportunity to dig deep for endurance, compassion and gratitude. The most challenging times are the greatest teachers. All of us are enduring thishigher fuel prices, worry and attention to the upcoming weather, global warming coming to fruition. Those enduring the actual physical reconstruction of their lives, those rebuilding houses, those providing healthcare, handing out food, donating money, providing shelter for strangers and loved ones, and raising money for all theseeach is an important branch on this tree that is the tree of life. We are all accessing our compassion through our giving. And that compassion is a direct fruit of our gratitude for our own lives. Life is good even when it looks otherwise. It's funny this way. It's about the way we see it.

Recently I wrote this poem addressing this:

Olden Selves
©2005 Jackie Tice

out of the night of jostling dreams
the walker stirs and wonders why
and to whom she is listening

with careful eyes and stone-cold resolve
fueled by the silk of ancient birdsongs
the river calls and the walker runs

bounding steps energize the legs that once
held her back from the surge of the water's voice
fearing for her own loss of olden selves

at first sight the river banks are steep and rocky
dried algae and thin bones protrude from the earth
where once the waters rose

no longer green or blue or luscious
the pitiful beauty stares at her soul
inviting compassion

while she stares back and has no words
the wind breathes on her neck and whispers
to the heart of her mind

everything you see is masked
everything you desire is masked
everything you create is masked
it exists without you
without your judgment
without your trust

the walker steps backward
she closes her eyes
she feels the rumble of the river
she runs forward
she falls into the water

when her eyes can see
there is beauty all around her
as she stares up at the steep banks
the rocky faces flash boney smiles
and dry hairy bodies dance in place

like her own body
floating at rest on top of the water
in the bounding waters current
the ancient songs now inside

Jackie

The News and Muse - September 2005

1. THE STORM

2. BENEFITS

3. APPEL FARM

4. ICE HOUSE RECAP

5. NEAR FUTURE

Greetings all, from the very dry Northeast.

1. The Storm
In the wake of the unimaginable devastation in New Orleans and some of the surrounding areas, we wish and pray for only good things to follow, for all those affected by the wind and water and unfortunate acts and policies of those not looking toward the greatest welfare of the people. Supplies and money will be needed for a long time coming. Go to give.org for information on the myriad charity efforts.

That's Bill Miller, Jackie Tice, Billy Hall and Joshua Yudkin at the Historic Ice House in Bethlehem PA after their appearance at Bethlehem Musikfest. August 2005

2. Benefit Concert Appearances
There are benefit concerts going on all over the country. Please support these events and artists in your area, making a difference in the way they do best.

The Concerts Under the Stars Music Series is hosting a benefit concert in October which includes Jackie with Billy Hall on bass and vocals. "Under the Stars" is a veteran music series in King of Prussia PA - not so far from where Jackie grew up. Other wonderful songwriters will participate in this Sunday afternoon show. Thanks to David Broida and Lee Bowers, who are producing this concert.

CDBaby.com has an entire section of their website dedicated to artists donating the entire sale price of their CD's to Hurrican Katrina survival efforts. Jackie has two CD's on this site. Visit the website at http://jackietice.com or go directly to http://cdbaby.com to purchase music and donate all at once!

3. Appel Farm —
Making her debut appearance at Appel Farm in Elmer NJ, the Appel Farm Community Arts Day will feature Jackie and three other songwriters from the Philadelphia area. After individual sets between from 11am-2pm(Jackie is on at 1pm), the songwriters - Jackie, Joseph Parsons, Kate Gaffney and the Kwait Brothers - will have a Songwriter's Round at 3:00pm. This free "get to know Appel" day will also include arts demonstrations, jugglers, storytellers and more. Bring the family!

4. Ice House Rocks! —
On a beautiful day in August, the Ice House at Bethlehem Musikfest crowd was treated to the sounds of howling coyotes and cries of remembrance for the wartorn with songs from the newly-released Second Skin. While producer Bill Miller listened backstage, Jackie (with Billy Hall on bass and vocals) rocked the stage --especially when she pulled out her new red electric guitar! For pictures click here.  It was a fantastic show and audience and we thank all those who signed Jackie's mailing list and purchased her new Second Skin and critically-hailed Blue Coyote. Bill Miller (with Joshua Yudkin on keyboard and vocals) was incredible to watch and hear - and also rocked the house - with an acoustic guitar! The folks at Godfrey Daniels were responsible for producing this concert at Musikfest - one of the largest music festivals in the country. Watch for more concerts coming with Bill Miller and Jackie.

In Katrina's Wake - SEPTEMBER 2005

Friends........

The hurricane that hit the Gulf Coast - Alabama, Missisippi, Louisiana - with the nations' focus on New Orleans and its subsequent flooding and destruction, has shocked the nation and world.  The BBC is calling this a "breakdown of the government" due to the appropriations intended to repair the levees two years ago having been diverted by the Bush administration for the war on Iraq.  It is a sad day----a largely predicted and avoidable tragedy.

Politics aside - there is a place for this down the road - prayer and provisions are essential right now!  For my part, all proceeds of sales of Blue Coyote and Let in the Joy CD's will go to the Red Cross to assist with this situation.  Click here for more...

The News and Muse - JULY 2005

1. THE WOODY GUTHRIE FOLK FESTIVAL

COMPASSION

NICENESS

MY FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

2. NORTH DAKOTA REPORT

3. MUSIC FEST, APPEL FARM

1. THE WOODY GUTHRIE FOLK FESTIVAL
The Woody Guthrie Folk Festival is my absolute FAVORITE festival of all time!  There is not one single place where I've encountered this level of heart and soul combined in such a diverse musical gathering.

Saturday dinner at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival.
Rufus Cappadocia, Jackie Tice, Billy Hall, Peter Yarrow
(Bethany's taking the picture)

Maybe it's the Spirit of Woody - the context by which he created hundreds of songs and writings.  Compassion for "The People." Of course, The People is an expression for the First Nations People of this country - I think Woody meant it this way too. As the great Lakota medicine man, Frank Fool's Crow, said, "We are one People." This festival epitomizes that sentiment. Did I mention it's a free festival?! I'm honored to now be among the alumni performers.

COMPASSION
Both compassion and passion run thick in this place called Okemah, OK, birthplace of Woody Guthrie.  Best milkshake I've ever had was at the drug store in town - thick to the bottom, like the compassion here. My only regret is I didn't try the Malted! By the way, the drug store is called The Drug Store in town and it has a real fountain in back, with those deco seats and all!

NICENESS
I used to not like the word "nice." I've always felt that it was similar to the word "interesting." Kind of a non-word - a filler, if you will.  However, the folks in this town are really "nice." The town itself is "nice."  The festival volunteers and organizers are downright "nice!" I think I now understand what "nice" means! And I no longer think of it as just another nice word!

MY FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
David Amram vamping about his festival impressions interspersed within his song, Pushing Up Daisies.   (written with Allen Ginsburg, Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady)
Bill Miller singing Ghost Dance.
Terry Leonino and Greg Artzner of Magpie bringing me to tears with their
version of the Phil Ochs song, When I'm Gone.
Dinner with Peter Yarrow, his daughter Bethany and her musical partner,
cellist Rufus Cappadocia, who is one of most amazing cellists I've ever heard!
Mary Jo's Pancake Breakfast - Mary Jo is Woody's sister - the slew of songs
and sincerity was overwhelming.
The Finale onstage with most EVERYONE - Peter, David, Jimmy LaFave, Ellis Paul, Karen Mal, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, Jim Page, Don Conescenti, Christopher Williams, Darcie Deaville, me and Billy Hall, more.... thousands of fans singing along to Woody, Dylan, The Band songs........what a blast!
MY FAVORITE NEW DISCOVERY: Jimmy LaFave! He's been around awhile, but I've
just discovered him and am in awe and respect of his talent!
Great Gratiude to Deana Gorbet, Bill McCloud, Mike Nave and Randy Norman, as well as all the volunteers, and to Bill Miller, for telling me about the festival.!

2. NORTH DAKOTA REPORT
I love North Dakota.  For me, there is nothing like itthe energy, the space, the sky, the essence of the landis so rich with Spirit. More songs and paintings are coming.  The Mandan Arts in the Park day was beautiful.  If you're passing through Bismarck/Mandan, stop in at the Five Nations Arts store on West Main.  They now carry Blue Coyote and Second Skin and other great CD's, beautiful jewelry, beads, and various Native powwow and ceremonial accoutrements.

5. A PERSONAL NOTE FROM JACKIE:
My great thanks to Jannie Wolff, organizer of the NYC gig last month during the Tribeca Film Festival. It was terrific! Many thanks to Ron and Karen at Hill House Writers Retreat, south of Nashville, for a wonderful and warm welcome to their farm. This is a great place to go invest in your creative energy and integrate with the elements of nature (www.hillhousewriters.com). One of the attendees of this house concert was road manager for the late, great John Hartford for many years, and a member of the house band at the Grand Old Opry for over 30. This man, Jimmy Johnson, in his 70’s now, played me some songs he wrote and I was absolutely blown away. He’s the real deal – authentic and incredibly talented. What a great honor! Thanks to one of my dearest friends, Pam, for hosting the house concert in Atlanta, and to the many people who came there… Having this record finished is an incredible relief to me!! I’m excited, my friends. My love and gratitude to all who made it possible.

Thank you all -

5. A POEM (by poet and actor Phillip Levine - at the DEKK with Jackie on Apr 21)

Full Moon Saturday

It's Saturday night
And the moon has her high-beams on.

And down on the flats all the young slicks
have their motors running tight and their hair combed sharp.

While up on the mountain it's rutting season
And all the new dudes have their boots on high.

But I can no longer see in that kind of light.
And I have no howl left.

And the shine is so close it's hot in your nose.
And everyone stops to contemplate their next move.

But it's the moon's move,
And with her one wide eye, she presses hard on everyone's pedal.

For a moment, I feel alive again.

Phillip Levine

5. A MONOLOGUE (by Jannie Wolff  - at the DEKK with Jackie on Apr 21)

Telephone Tag

A woman, mid 20’s to late 30’s, is sitting in her apartment, looking at her phone bill. She speaks directly to the audience.

WOMAN:

I’ve been thinking about my phone bill a lot. I mean, not so much the actual bill, as the charges. Every month I pay all these charges and I don’t even know what they are. What the hell is a line charge? And how about Local Number Portability? And right after that is surcharge(s) – 95 cents. What the hell is that?

Last month they charged me for two *69 calls - same day, one at 7 pm and one at 7:01. If I did that, I must’ve been drunk, so I started thinking back and while I was sitting in my apartment thinking about whatever would have possessed me to dial *69 at 7:00 and 7:01, my phone rang once and stopped. I looked at it. I waited. Who the hell was that? I’m not gonna dial *69 now, because I know I’ll get that stupid recording saying “the number you are trying to call can’t be reached by this method”, and then I’ll be slammed with a 75 cent “pay-per-use service” charge. So I go back to thinking about my phone bill and my phone rings, twice. That’s it. Just stops. Now, you have to realize that I am a single woman in Manhattan. I meet a lot of weird people. Mostly guys. I mean I meet mostly weird guys. I mean weird in the way of someone who calls someone and hangs up. So now I’m thinkin’ it’s one of these guys. Some fool who can’t decide if he really wants to call me or not. Then the phone rings and I grab it. I make my voice very calm and say, “hello.” There’s a click on the other end and the line goes dead.

And then it comes to me. I’m just about to dial *69. I can’t take it any more. I have to at least try to find out who’s’ doing this to me. And you know what? I realized it’s gotta be the phone company. All at once it came to me in a flash. They were randomly calling people all over Manhattan at odd hours to encourage the use of *69 so they could make a buck.

I’m glad I figured that out. If there’s a psychopath calling me, I feel a lot better knowing it’s the phone company.

February 2005 TICE NOTES - -

Friends...

Welcome to the new friends on the list. I'm happy to be meeting and performing for all of you and thanks to those who came out to the gig in York PA.

The photo shoot for the new record is complete and we are now in the design stage. Sometimes the best things in life take a while to complete.  So it is with this record, now called Second Skin (not Human).  This was the original working title and we decided it is a more fitting name afterall!

Check out Claus Mrocynski's webpage at www.ClausFoto.com. He has studied with Ansel Adams and is one of the most visually-communicative photographers I've had the pleasure of meeting and working with.  The designer, Charles Barrett of Floodzone Design (www.floodzonedesign.com) has excellent credentials, including work with Atlantic Records, and brings a fantastic instinctual sense of space to this project.

Bill Miller (producer of Second Skin) is nominated for a Grammy award in the Native American Category.  We're praying he'll win!! Either way, he'll be there on Feb. 13.
Watch for him!

I will be performing at the Raubsville Inn, south of Easton PA with my band on February 18.  The cabaret is a beautiful room upstairs that seats about 75. Great art on the walls and a warm atmostphere.  The Raubsville is known for its unique, quality cuisine. Come for dinner and the show!
We begin at 9pm. Cover is $7.

Raubsville Inn 25 Canal Road, 610-252-2165
Billy Hall, vocals, Kevin Soffera, percussion, and Nick Franclik, bass.

all peace....and gratitude.

December 2004 TICE NOTES - -

Winter stands at our doorstep, patiently waiting her turn to dance
Snowflakes camp on strata clouds, shapeless yet
Time slows soon, but not too soon for me
Comes a winter’s lullaby on frozen winter’s trees

My great thanks to Brian Austin Whitney of JPFOLKS for a superb job at the Santa Ana music awards show.  Independent music is alive and well, friends.  CDBaby.com is the place to find a plethora of “the good stuff.”

Some recently discovered artists I like:
Mark Thunderwolf (Native flute)
The Dreamsickles are Tom Prasada-Rao and Carrie Cooper (contemporary and roots)
Melody Guy (Americana, country)
GUTA (intelligent, original, crossover rock & roll)
Wolfe (high-powered blues and rock)

Check them out at CDBaby.com

Thanks also to Andrea Clearfield, pianist, composer and producer of The Salon event in Philadelphia for a terrific evening of exceptional talent. If you live anywhere within driving distance of Philly, please treat yourself to an evening of musical bliss! Contact the website at http://internationalopus.com/Andrea_Clearfield

The new album and songs coming this Spring in four directions.
Until then, blessings on your winter time.

October 2004 TICE NOTES - -

Friends....
We're getting closer to release dates for the new record. I'm happy to report that the pre-release copy is being played on WXPN - 88.5 FM, Philadelphia. Call Michaela Majoun - diva of radio that's hip - if you want to hear it. 215-573-WXPN

NEWS and GIGS BELOW
The Salon, Philadelphia
Postponed from March, I will appear on Sunday October 24, at THE SALON, an event featuring superb musicianship, in the style of the 19th-century European salons. About ten performers tout the best of their latest musical endeavors spanning jazz, classical, and acoustical styles. There will also be a dance piece presented at this Salon.
I will be joined by William (Billy) Hall at this performance. 400 South Sydenham Street, 7:30 pm. Doors open at 7:00 pm, and you are advised to come early to get a seat. . Suggested donation $8 http://internationalopus.com/Andrea_Clearfield for more info.

The California trip, Los Angeles
From November 4-8, I will be in the Los Angeles-metro area, making my way into the offices of music supervisors, visiting TV studios and playing my songs. I have two performances scheduled. If you're from CA, email this address for further information.

An Award?
My all-acoustic, locally-released CD, In These Bones (2002, Saja Records), has been nominated as best traditional folk album by the JPF MUSIC AWARDS. This grassroots organization has over 25,000 member musicians/songwriters, including Jason Blume, the Dixie Chicks, and other famous folks, whose main purpose it is to close the gap between the mainstream "popular" perception of elitist musical talent and the actuality of many thousands of talented independent artists, putting out CD's and making credible contributions to the industry. This organization has a bigger pool than the Grammy's, thereby representing a truer picture of the music industry. My record is recognized in the same category as the Doc Watson/David Holt collection, Legacy, which puts me in very good company and very stiff competition.

Mid May 2004 TICE NOTES - -

My Friends -

The mastered copy of 'Human' is on it's way to me from MInneapolis as I write this.

Mike von Muchow and Tom Tucker spent many hours tweaking the record to get it just right! Then, they listened to some of Prince's new CD, due to be released soon! I'm not usually one to be so bold - name dropping like that - but it's so funny to me, as well as kind of cool!

I'm taking two trips this summer to North Dakota to, again, be with 'my people,' the Mandan/Hidatsa. I wouldn't be doing the work I do without going back there. They are indelible in their effect upon my psyche, my soul and my art - both visual and musical. One of my recent paintings, Thunder Moon, specifically focuses on Thunder Butte in ND and it's sister-song of the same name made the record, with Bill Miller adding beautiful native flute to the piece.

I am preparing 100 limited-edition pre-release copies of Human for sale at the upcoming gigs. These will be signed and numbered and will include exclusive studio photos from the week we recorded the album. The official release of Human is not determined yet but, as I said, these pre-release copies will be available at gigs until they run out! E-me if you're out of the state or country and we can possibly get one to you.

For WDIY-FM (88.1) listeners, I'll be on The Blend with Ray Sommerville at 2:45pm on Wednesday, May 19.

Thank you
all peace...

Mid-April 2004 TICE NOTES - -

Friends -

The new album, officially called Human, is finished and ready for mastering.

Bill Miller, Michael von Muchow and I spent most of the first week in April mixing the record.

A Cooper Hawk came and visited during a break, perching on a tree 20 feet from the porch at Signal Sound Studios, where we mixed and recorded the album. My great thanks to Pete Davis (owner/engineer) and to Rick Statkus (engineer), who were vital to the completion of this project.

I am eternally grateful to Billy Hall, who also spent many hours post-production, recording, editing and gathering all the source material necessary for getting the record ready to mix.

Great thanks to Michael von Muchow, from La Crosse, WI, who flew in to be part of this. His honest approach to the music is enlivening. I recommend him highly to others in the music biz. He is also handling the mastering end of the process, along with Tom Tucker, who mixes Prince's records, in Minneapolis.

This record would not exist without Bill Miller. It's the best record I've ever made - hands down! His commitment to his vision and ability to hold the space of intention and positive energy is miraculous. In the face of his own rising career, it was truly an act of love that he guided this beautiful journey and the resulting music to its completion.

Another important part of this project and one of it's magical moments came with the publication of Geoff Gehman's two-page spread in the Morning Call, Allentown PA.. Geoff spent hours interviewing and visiting with me, Bill Miller, Jamey Haddad and others to write this beautiful piece documenting the magic and the making of this album. The article is posted here at jackietice.com.

I had no intention of recording an album at this time. I was looking for a house to buy when all this came to my attention. Some things are painfully obvious as the right thing to do.

Everyone who came to this project said the same thing. They did it because they felt like it was the right thing to do. It called to them. There is no accounting for that feeling between people. It's just a gift!

So, as we complete another step along the way toward the "whatever," I'm grateful and look forward to holding the finished product in my hands, and also to sharing it with all of you.

Hang in there ----------it's coming........

all peace....

Late March 2004 TICE NOTES - -

My Friends -

I have just emerged from a one-week recording marathon with BILL MILLER. Six weeks after handing him a demo, the wind swept us into the studio, where we created high art with JAMEY HADDAD (Paul Simon, Lenny Kravitz, Dave Liebman), PETE CUMMINGS (Oak Ridge Boys, Tanya Tucker, Elvis Presley!), JOSHUA YUDKIN (Bill Miller's oft-seen accompanist), TONY DOMINIC (UNAMI), BILLY HALL (Frostwater, Peter Yarrow, Pete Seeger) and GARY RISSMILLER (Phil Woods, Charles Fambrough).

You won't hear the results on CD for another month or two, however, a few gigs coming up will give us opportunity to showcase some songs.

The full moon has birthed another baby....

February 2004 TICE NOTES - -

Greetings Friends...

My driveway is packed with snow and ice. I'm doing my best to look towards Spring and Summer - writing new songs and painting, resting up for the big thaw just around the corner. Right!

Coming in March is a very hip Jim Thorpe event. The Cerridwyn (Ker-i-dwin) Music and Arts Festival will feature women artists and musicians at the famed Mauch Chunk Opera House.

The festival will begin in the gallery space at the Opera House with an exclusive Art Exhibit from 2pm – 5pm. The Opera House doors will re-open at 7pm for an exhibition of artwork, musical performances mixed with poetry readings and featured performances by the ACCO chorus and myself.  Lite Fare and refreshments are included in a $10.00 ticket price.

Part of the excitement for me is that I will hang two paintings for the Art Exhibit.

The gallery page on the website is still in the design stage, so this is an opportunity to get a preview of some of my visual work and to hear the songs inspired by them.

An exciting opportunity this month is at the Salon in Philadelphia. Modeled after the 19th Century European Salons, each month an evening of classical, folk and world music, dance and poetry is featured at this townhome of pianist Andrea Clearfield (http://www.internationalopus.com/Clearfield).

Allentown musician Steve Brosky has finished recording a bluesy, funky cover of my song, Trouble, from my Let In The Joy album. Recorded at Westwires Studio (www.westwires.com), the backing vocals are provided by Billy Hall, my daughter Sagi, Paco the drummer! and myself.

Other news is on the burner for next time. Please drop me a note and thank you for your support!

all peace...

NOVEMBER 2003 TICE NOTES - -

Friends -

Thank you - all who've attended shows and bought CD's through October. I so appreciate your continued support and generosity of spirit.

The next two weekends will be fun and filled with music. First, Godfrey Daniels is sponsoring their annual Craft Faire Extraordinaire on Saturday, November 22 from 9-4pm, with live music playing from 11-3. I will be appearing with my special guest, Bill Hall. You'll remember him from the Blue Coyote record and from our extraordinary journey to Kerrville Folk Festival in 1996, when we, as two individual songwriters, entered the field of 800 entrants for the Emerging Artists competition there. As fate would have it, we BOTH came home as two of the six winners of the New Folk Award that year. Pretty cool! At this gig, we'll debut the song we just wrote together - not to be missed!

The following weekend - November 29 and 30 - you'll have another chance to attend a Native American Pow Wow. This one, again at Dimmick Park in Hellertown, will be held in a huge, heated tent, with enough room for a dance circle, vendors of Native crafts, leathergoods, jewelry and clothing, and two Indiginous drumming groups. I will play, as well, in the late afternoon hours. This is a non-profit event to raise money for the People of the Tayac Sun Dance - held on Piscataway Nation grounds in southern Maryland. My friends, Eagle Claw Victoria and Sherry Running Bear, are organizing the event. I am happy to be part of it.

Check the website at http://jackietice.com for updated info and to check future performance dates.

My CD, Let In The Joy, is now available at http://cdbaby.com/tice2 .
